Many SSS pensioners are already residing abroad. But regardless of their location, they are still required to comply with the SSS Annual Confirmation of Pensioners (ACOP).
To help encourage pensioners abroad to comply with the program and continuously receive their pensions without needing to come back to the Philippines or make a trip to the consulate for compliance, SSS has launched a new facility called ACOP-VC or Annual Confirmation of Pensioners through Video Conference.
According to SSS President and Chief Executive Office Emmanuel F. Dooc, “Based on our records, we have more than 17,000 pensioners residing abroad but only about 1,832 or 11 percent of them have used the ACOP-VC. We strongly encourage our pensioners to explore and start using the ACOP-VC facility for faster reporting to the SSS.”
Through modern technology, pensioners residing abroad will find it
easier to report to SSS.
The schedule of the ACOP-VC interview should be the birth month of the retiree pensioner. For beneficiaries receiving Death Benefit, it would be the birth month of the deceased member.
